It's my mom's birthday today and I'm so sad I can't be there partying with her. Happy Birthday mom! To try to make up for it just a little, this post is dedicated to what is so awesome about my mom:
* She has the funniness gift that I wish I possessed, but I do not.
* She has, hands down, the BEST laugh. Her sister has a pretty good one too, so it does run in the family, but for some reason, my sister and I don't have it.
* She has the musical gift I wish I possessed too.
* She has sincere concern for the people around her ( she might disagree, but I see it all the time).
* She is very confident and doesn't worry about what everyone thinks (a gift I also didn't get)
* She can do anything and is the best at everything she does.
* She listens to all of my drama and doesn't make me feel like a drama queen.
* Everyone wants to be around her. Growing up, my friends all loved her and I think they came over just to hear her jokes and talk to her.
* She has the kind of love for my dad that some search a lifetime for.
*She is a cool grandma. The kids miss her enormously and always beg to go see her.
* She has a testimony of the gospel and I think she has a deep reaching impact on the people she meets.
Mom, you are one of a kind, and I mean that in the best way. I love you so much and am so grateful to have such a close relationship with you even though I'm far away. Thanks for being the greatest! Happy Birthday!

AMEN to every single item. Dawn, you rock. Happy Birthday!
I agree with all of the above comments! I love your mom!
So sweet. I hope your mom had a great day! I bet she did after she read your post. :)
Do you think that when we get "old" we'll be the 2nd generation queens on the belly laugh? Or did we think their belly laugh was too dorky and tried hard not to do it?
