My sweet Brooklyn
About a month ago, my middle baby turned five. Brooklyn Dawn Price was our Christmas baby born December 22nd. Five years later, Brooklyn has become a sweet, unique, passionate little girl. She loves to sing and dance so much that I might put money on her going into show business, except that she can be pretty shy. She loves everyone and is often shedding tears over being away from loved ones and friends she misses. We also call Brooklyn the smart cookie, reading and writing way before entering Kindergarten and not because I forced it on her, but because she really is just one smart cookie. Brooklyn loves taking dance with mom as her teacher and enjoys going to preschool with her friends twice a week. We sure love her and are so blessed to have her in our family. Here are a few other tidbits about Brooklyn:
favorite color: changes daily
favorite food: bread, bread and bread, preferably white
favorite toy: Littlest pet shop and My Little Pony
favorite primary song: Beautiful World
favorite pop song: You belong with me (Taylor Swift)
favorite show: She goes in phases, the latest is Alvin and the Chipmunks of any sort

It "magically" appeared
Brooklyn woke up with a wad of gum on her shirt sticking to her tummy. Here is the conversation as follows:
B (crying)- I have gum stuck to my tummy
me- What? Did you go to bed with gum in your mouth?
B- No!
me- How did it get there?
B- I don't know!
me- It just magically appeared?
B- Yeah.
me- You know it's not good to lie. You're not in trouble, I'm just wondering how it got there.
B- I'm not lying!
me- Then how did it get there? Someone came in and put it there?
B- Yes.
Later that evening........
B- Daddy, I had gum stuck to my tummy
me- Yeah dad, and she didn't go to bed with gum, it just appeared like magic.
B- (nodding in agreement) Yeah, it was magic.
I guess we'll just never know how that gum got there.....though I have my suspicions.

There are a few extra dings in the wall,
They are up and they look great!

Fortunately Unfortunate
So I've been in a super sentimental, miss everyone mood lately.
I often find myself wondering what it would be like if we lived in ___________.
The problem is I have too many possibilities for the blank.
Too many people I love and think I can't possibly live without...all in a different place.
So we decided the best way to solve this problem is to live by no one......except, dang, there is a someone here too whom I couldn't possibly leave and live without.
This is what happens when you move a gazillion times. You just keep adding to the list of people you can't live without.
On top of it all, I'm a people pleaser. I can't stand knowing that some decision I've made has made someone unhappy (and since we are totally awesome, there are lots of sad people around).
I know, I know, if my biggest problem is having too many people I love scattered around the country, I'm doing pretty darn good.
I love you all wherever you are. Please don't be mad at me.
I'll shut up now and count my blessings.
